Kawthar Ebrahim, Opinion Editor

Serving as Opinion Editor, Kawthar is a sophomore studying Applied Sociology and Philosophy. Originally from Bahrain, she previously studied in the Netherlands, where she developed a strong interest in social issues, culture and the ways people understand the world around them. On campus, Kawthar serves as the communications officer for the Sociology Club and enjoys exploring different perspectives through writing and discussion. She hopes to use her role at The Minaret to create space for thoughtful conversations and diverse viewpoints. Outside of academics and journalism, she enjoys reading, theatre, music and discovering new places.
