Kailey Aiken is the feature editor for The Minaret. She is a senior journalism major with a minor in writing. She freelances for The American Surf Magazine and is a seasonal columnist and reporter for her hometown newspaper, The Rockaway Times, in Rockaway Beach, New York. She hopes to continue writing environmental stories that highlight oceans and coasts, and to serve small coastal communities like her own by bringing attention to overlooked issues.
