Emily McLaughlin is the opinion editor for The Minaret. She is a junior psychology and journalism major with a leadership studies minor. She is the director of communications for the student government, president of the photography club, lead mentor for Discover UTampa, initiated into the phi eta sigma national honors society, a member of Paws, and has an internship for Creative Loafing. She loves to be active, plays the guitar, and loves staying busy! One day, she hopes to share the story of how a study abroad trip to Ireland, focused on global sports management, transformed the way she views the United States.
