Ryan Maxwell finished his time playing for the University of Tampa but continued his career in soccer. Recently, the senior midfielder was invited to participate in the Major League Soccer combine.
The combine is the most prestigious event in MLS recruiting. On Jan. 9-13, coaches will flock to Fort Lauderdale, Fla. to scout the participants as they compete in three games over the four days.
Maxwell helped UT to the best season since 2001 this year, tallying the second most goals on the team. He will know if he goes professional on Jan. 16 at the MLS Super Draft.
