The University of Tampa women’s basketball team knocked Rollins College out of the conference tournament in the semi finals on Saturday night by a score of 60-50. The Spartans also defeated Rollins last year in the finals.
“I’ve been here six years now. We’ve played them five out of six years in the tournament,” Coach Tom Jessee said, “so a very familiar foe there.”
The Spartans opened on a 14-3 run. Sheena Walton controlled both sides of the court with two blocks and eight points before taking a rest seven minutes into the half.
