Put On Your Dancing Shoes: Dance Happening Is Back!

The Department of Speech, Theatre and Dance presents its popular Student Dance Happening Wednesday, April 26-Saturday, April 29, at 8 p.m., beginning in the Edison Center at 214 N. Blvd. Admission is free.

The unique thing about the Happening is that it takes place in two different sites. After the initial segment in the Edison Building, the audience travels to the East Verandah of Plant Hall for the second half of the program.

The Student Dance Happening features 15 choreographers and more than 80 performers. All dances are choreographed by UT students.

Dance styles include modern, lyrical, ballet, hip-hop, tap and jazz. Choreographers include Erin Creeks,Tamara Dombrowski, Rogelio Garcia, Katie Griffin, Meghan Link, Joelle Maki, Lea McGowan, Sharell McKinney, Cierra Savatgy-King, Carly Skubick, Jamie Stringer, Jaclyn Watt, Ericka Womack, Marcus Yi and Kendal Yorke.
