On Saturday, Feb. 28, in St. Petersburg, day two of the three-day Firestone Grand Prix opened with the first of two races associated with the Mazda MX-5 Cup series. The race was won by Bobby Gossett, who drove through poor, wet track conditions to complete the 23-lap race.
