Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour began on March 17 last year in Glendale, Arizona, and has been a hot topic since. The tour is expected to have its final show in Vancouver, Canada, on December 8 this year.
The first time I heard about Taylor Swift was when I was a kid, and my mom would listen to her well-known song “Love Story“while in the car. I still remember Taylor’s short appearance in Hannah Montana: The Movie in 2009, which was my favorite movie as a kid. Taylor Swift has definitely been included in my playlist since then, and I have my favorite songs that I would listen to from time to time. Even though Taylor Swift is one of my favorite artists, I cannot say that I know as much about her as her dedicated “Swifties. “
Since the Eras Tour began, I remember my social media would be filled with videos from her concerts and the colorful outfits her fans would wear. Many people would also dress up in the theme colors of one of her albums, such as Lover, Reputation, or Red. Many fans would share how Taylor Swift’s songs have positively impacted their lives and that going to her concert was an experience they will never forget. Taylor Swift has always been one of the most successful artists, but I feel like Taylor’s success has skyrocketed in recent years, along with the Eras Tour. She has been among the most talked about celebrities in the past few months, especially when she started her relationship with Travis Kelce from the Kansas City Chiefs.
Before Disney+ announced that The Eras Tour would be available on their platform, the concert was first released to movie theaters on October 13, 2023. People who did not have a chance to attend Taylor’s concert took this opportunity to see her on a big screen, sing, and dance in a movie theater as if they were seeing her live.
On March 14th, “The Eras Tour“ debuted on Disney+ and already broke the record as the most-streamed music film with 4.6 million views in the first three days of release on the platform. I was curious to see the show as I was influenced by all the short clips from her concert shared on social media and everyone talking about it.
The film has 3 hours and 27 minutes, which is pretty long as Taylor included 44 songs from her ten albums. I have to say that the concert seemed magical, along with Taylor’s glittery costumes, heels, and beautiful dresses. The whole stage design and Taylor’s energy in every one of the songs is what makes the show unique. I admire Taylor for being able to dance and sing for such a long time, even though she did have some breaks with acoustic and slow songs throughout the concert. Watching the show almost makes me want to go to one of her concerts, even if I have already seen it on Disney+ and my social media so that nothing would be a surprise.
The tour is definitely an unforgettable experience, and Taylor seems to sound great live, as she does on her albums. Whether you are a Taylor fan or you just know a couple of her songs, I think that it is definitely worth it to watch her concert from the Eras Tour at least once.
