The Benefits of Organic Beauty Products

Organic beauty products and having a healthier skincare routine may seem slightly overdramatic to some, but the benefits prove to outweigh any distrust in the push towards a cleaner and healthier being. Making the switch to cleaner products doesn’t have to be an all or nothing. This can mean using an organic cleanser even though you are still using the not-so-great moisturizer. In the long run, your skin will thank you for those smaller decisions and you’ll be grateful you made the decision when you did.

Great for your skin

No one wants wrinkles when they’re older or even dried skin at a young college age. Choosing organic beauty products can help keep you looking young and your skin filled with nutrients which is a win-win. They are more likely to reduce inflammation, irritation and redness, which is always a plus. Many skincare products on the market contain a range of harsh chemicals that can damage your skin and make it harder to replenish. Natural products tend to have more soothing ingredients such as coconut oil, shea butter, and honey which will give you the ultimate glow.

Non-allergenic

I’m sure most of you can recall a time where you suffered from a harsh reaction or terrible skin rash after using a trending beauty product. In organic beauty products, the ingredients are easy to identify which makes it much simpler to choose which brand is right for you. Ultimately, this helps you save money since you won’t be wasting the product due to a poor skin reaction.

Supporting cruelty-free brands

Purchasing organic skincare usually means you are supporting a brand that doesn’t test on animals. Putting money towards these brands compared to others that do tests on animals is great for proving what consumers want and expect from brands.

Better for the environment

Organic skincare products involve many more sustainable practices. The ingredients are much healthier and many come directly from the earth. Additionally, those same ingredients end up going into the water and back to the earth, which creates a healthier full circle situation. Consider more natural options, such as tea tree oil and lavender extract in the ingredients next time you are making that difficult in-store beauty decision.

Cost-effective

Although it may not seem cheap or worth it, you will end up saving so much more money in the long run. Using high-quality products means using less product which yields better, long-lasting results. Continuing to use drying and irritating products that usually don’t work often leads the consumer to continue purchasing similar options that typically don’t show any different results.

The decision is yours, but in the end, try to weigh all your options and choose what’s best for you, your skin, and the environment. Remember, it doesn’t have to be all or nothing, but the small steps you take early-on will leave both you and your skin feeling nourished and happy. Although some may find identifiable issues with organic skincare, it is apparent that your skin will thank you for choosing the healthier route.
