Some of the elected students are happy about the outcome of the election and ready to make a difference at UT.

“It was definitely a stressful process, but it was worth it in the end,” said Morgan Woods, elected Speaker of the Assembly. “Working with my president and vice president, I hope that all three of us are able to make changes that everyone is wanting regarding food, COVID, safety, and even parking.”

President Elect Alyssa White and Vice President Elect Isabella Burgui appreciate UT students for giving them a chance to make a difference on campus.

“They gave us their vote because they trusted us and that feels really good to know that people trust us with leading and representing them,” said Burgui.

White and Burgui are excited for students to return to face-to-face interactions and learning environments and are currently working out the details to implement mental health days during the upcoming academic school year.

They want students to maintain an open mind going into the next academic school year and get ready to see some changes.

“Be prepared for more events and more chances to connect with your campus, and be excited about it,” said White.
