Update, Aug. 3: In the season finale of ABC’s Bachelorette. Fedotowsky invited both Roberto Martinez, 26 and Chris Lambton,33, to Tahiti to meet her family. There, after winning the final rose, Martinez got on one knee and proposed to Ali Fedotwosky, “Will you marry me?” She said yes.

Update, July 12: Martinez takes his date to the home field where him and Fedotowsky play a quick game. Later in the evening, Martinez’s family gives Roberto their blessing to marry Fedotowsky. Will she accept his proposal?

Former University of Tampa student gets closer in a chance to win over the heart of season six Bachelorette, Ali Fedotowsky.

Roberto Martinez, 26, is a former 2002 and 2003 Division II baseball player and Tampa native. He was also a pitcher for UT, but not a very good one with a 7.20 ERA.

After he graduated, Martinez moved to Charleston, South Carolina where he achieved his “greatest achievement to date,” becoming the youngest State Farm agent in the U.S.

Now, Martinez is going after is next challenge…winning over Ali Fedotowsky. Martinez made his first impression a memorable one after greeting Fedotowsky with a Spanish introduction.

While the dates have been smooth thus far, Martinez revealed that his worst date took place when he was in high school. He was on a double date and the girl he was with cried because she spilled ketchup.

Martinez has pulled out the romance cards though, especially in episode three where he shares a kiss with Fedotowsky miles above ground between two high-rise buildings.
