Police Beat: Reports from Jan. 10 to Jan. 25

Oh Nose!
At 4 p.m. on Jan. 14, a student accidentally broke his nose during a basketball game at the McNiff Fitness Center basketball courts.

Someone didn’t get their allowance
At 11:40 a.m. on Jan. 19, a professor’s laptop was stolen from their office in the Ferman Music Center along with a second staff member’s wallet.

Wiiere’d it go?
At 1 a.m. on Jan. 19, a student reported the theft of a Nintendo Wii from their room in Straz Hall.

“My name is, what? My name is, what?”
At 6 p.m. on Jan. 21, an individual willfully refused to produce identification when requested to do so. Security is still investigating.

New displays of art on campus now!
While on patrol at 2:30 a.m. on Jan. 23, security noticed graffiti on the walls outside Vaughn Center and on interior areas. An arrest was made.

For the foreseeable future…
At 10 a.m. on Jan. 23, students were seen on video camera discharging a fire extinguisher in McKay Hall. There was no fire. The students were referred to the judicial board.

The future is now…
At 10:40 a.m. on Jan. 23, a small bag of marijuana was found during a related case. The students were referred to the judicial board.
