
The slain body of University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill’s student government president was found at an intersection a mile from campus around 5 a.m. Wednesday.
Eve Carson, a senior, was shot multiple times, at least once in the head, according to The Daily Tar Heel, UNC’s student newspaper.
The popular 22-year-old was identified around 9 a.m.
Police had been looking for her stolen car, which was later found abandoned near campus.
ELSEWHERE Tuesday an Auburn University Delta Gamma sorority sister was found shot to death five miles north of the Alabama university. Authorities do not believe the two crimes are related.
