A trip to Miami, a cruise or maybe even a plane ride back home. For the majority of students at the University of Tampa, spring break this year was a well-needed vacation from the stress of classes, papers, exams, parking and professors.
Then there were the 16 students who decided that getting drunk and stupid over spring break was not the best use of their time. Instead, they signed up for the P.E.A.C.E. Office’s Alternative Spring Break, which consisted of getting sweaty, dirty and traveling to a not-so-spring-break location.
Katrina Vidal, sophomore and avid participant in the P.E.A.C.E. program, was one of the students who volunteered for the trip.
