Step on a crack … — At 10:30 a.m. on Aug. 22, UT Security was dispatched after a report of an injury at the Macdonald-Kelce Library. Upon arrival of Security, a staff member stated she felt pain in her back while placing an item inside a storage cabinet.

And when they got out … the hook was ON THE DOOR! — At 1:00 p.m. on Aug. 22, UT Security was notified of a vehicle that received scratch marks while parked on Poe Parkway.

This is why we have crosswalks. — At 1:25 p.m. on Aug. 22, UT Security was contacted to report an injury at the Martinez Sports Center. A person twisted her ankle on the curb while trying to cross North Blvd.

Did they only have two bullets to begin with, or two bullets left? — At 11:25 a.m. on Aug. 22, UT Security was dispatched in reference to possession of bullets in Austin Hall. 2 bullets were removed and taken to the Security Office.

Let’s see if UT Security can spot a fake ID. — At 11:30 p.m. on Aug. 23 UT Security was dispatched in reference to a person tampering with the entrance gate to the Plant Hall parking lot. Upon arrival, officer asked for identification and the student produced two ID’s, one of which was fake. Student was referred to the Conduct Board and will pay for damages to the gate.

… and stay out! — At 2:25 a.m. on Aug. 25, UT Security responded to a call of an individual in the Vaughn Center who’d been escorted off campus on a prior date. Upon arrival, Security officers detained him until Tampa Police arrived.

Try locking your door. You know. Just a suggestion. — At 2:08 p.m. on Aug. 25, UT Security was contacted to report a theft of a wallet and credit cards from an unlocked vehicle outside Rescom. The individual was given the Tampa Police phone number and told to make a report with them also.

Nice spot, guys. — At 8:15 p.m. on Aug. 25, UT security responded to a call of individuals selling drugs in the Sykes parking lot. Upon arrival, security along with Tampa police searched one of the individuals and found bottles of drugs on him. Both individuals stated they were not selling drugs. Tampa police issued a trespass to a non-student and referred the other to the Conduct Board.

Don’t let the door hit you on the way out. — At 10:l0 p.m. on Aug. 25, UT Security was contacted in reference to a possible drug violation in the Vaughn Center. Upon arrival of Security, drugs were found. All individuals involved were referred to the Conduct Board.

It’s always so nice when things work themselves out. — At 4:05 p.m. on Aug. 26, UT Security responded to a medical emergency in Straz Hall. Upon arrival, the individual in question was found alert and walking. Rescue service arrived and determined that vital signs were good. The individual refused treatment and was subsequently escorted to his room by friends.
