She is considered “beautiful” even when she is “stripped.” But now Christina Aguilera is going “back to basics” as she tours 41 cities in 2007.
The pop princess will go “back to basics” at the St. Petes Times Forum in Tampa on Friday, May 4, 2007.
Opening for Aguilera will be the chart-topping group the Pussycat Dolls, along with Bad Boy Records’ newest girl group Danity Kane.
In addition to touring North America, the concert will also appear in Europe in countries like England, Austria, Holland, Ireland, Germany and Switzerland.
Aguilera’s newly released double album “Back to Basics” explores the music of the 1920s ’30s, ’40s and beyond.
“The touchstones are Billie Holiday, Otis Redding, Etta James and Ella Fitzgerald-what I used to call my fun music when I was a little girl,” the artist said.
