Henry B. Plant Park is the oldest and largest botanical garden in Tampa. The park was established in 1891 for all of Tampa to enjoy as they visited the Tampa Bay Museum, now known as Plant Hall. The park is waterfront to the Hillsborough River and is now a part of the University of Tampa (UTampa). Today, the Students of UTampa can be seen hammocking, studying, tanning, having picnics, taking pictures, and going on walks in Plant Park. Different organizations on campus will host events in Plant Park for the beautiful background and Florida weather. Students and visitors from all over Tampa can come and enjoy the view of Plant Park.
