Bryce Vine to Headline The University of Tampa’s Annual Party in The Park

By Nayria Figueroa Colon

Every year, The University of Tampa gears up for what some might say as “the event of the year.” On March 15th, 2024, Student Productions is hosting its annual concert, Party in The Park, which is free for all students, faculty, and staff.

The event is run by Student Productions, a community organization that hosts The University of Tampa’s “coolest events.” The organization allows students to enjoy campus life, make memories, be with friends, and try new things. Student Productions is also run with the help of students. Students help students through college life.

Party in the Park has some of the best performers who will keep everyone having fun and enjoying their time. These performers will bring the event to life; some students can’t wait until March. This year, it was announced that Devon Cole is the opener for Party in the Park. The headliner for the event is Bryce Vine.

Opener Devon Cole is a singer, songwriter, and musician based in Canada. Her genre of choice is Pop, but her music has variety. Cole has written songs like “W.I.T.C.H” and “Hey Cowboy,” to name a few. She has over 982,000 monthly listeners on Spotify. She has over 544,000 followers on TikTok. Her Instagram has one-on-one videos that give a feeling of intimacy through her voice and the angle of her videos. While she sings, we listen and feel like we are with her.

Headliner Bryce Vine is an American rapper and singer from California who has gone Platinum five times. His genres consist of Hip-Hop, Pop, and alternative rock. His discography includes songs such as “Drew Barrymore” and “La La Land.” Vine has 3.5 million monthly listeners on Spotify. Vine’s Instagram shows the singer’s different sides as a singer-songwriter. Many feel like they have known him forever, even though they might have never met him.

Grace Maccarella, a Junior at the University of Tampa, said, “I am very excited about Bryce Vine’s headlining Party in The Park because he has been on my playlists for a while, and I love his song “La La Land.”

As said on The University of Tampa Student Productions Instagram, “… it is MORE than just a party in Plant Park. It’s a night full of exciting, high-energy performances from various artists and the best way to create amazing memories with your friends. Not to mention, it is FREE for all University of Tampa students!”

Mia Shaw, a sophomore at the University of Tampa, said, “I am just very excited to experience Party in The Park with my friends and make amazing memories.”

Freshman Valeria Hidalgo-Miguel said, “I am very excited to experience Party in The Park for the first time, and it’s going to be a very fun concert.”
