Shop ‘til You Drop

Sales, coupons, freebies, and buy one get one’s. My favorite tradition is just around the corner, Black Friday. Online shopping has transformed Black Friday into a convenient way to save. For those who want to skip the long lines and traffic jams, look at the early Black Friday deals.

The brave individuals who are ready to fight for their items can visit The International Plaza and Bay Street Mall. The mall is closed for Thanksgiving but opens at 8 a.m. on Friday, Nov., 23. Whether you are looking for Christmas presents or to revamp your closet, with 200 stores, there are plenty of deals for all shoppers. Start making your shopping list now or add these items to your Christmas list.

Amazon is always quick to start a trend and has been releasing deals for the whole month of November. The current hot item is the Apple AirPods Pro for $200 instead of the original $250. Other electronics include the Apple Watch Series 9 for $349 and the Apple iPad for $249, saving you up to $80. For coffee lovers, Keurigs coffee makers in a variety of different sizes are all on sale. Amazon clothes and accessories are discounted along with beauty products. The Nicebay Hair Straightener brush is $43 instead of the typical $133.

Walmart released its online deals on Nov. 8 with limited quantities. There will be in-person deals but the saving starts now. If you are looking for a new TV for your dorm or apartment Walmart is selling Roku TVs for $148. Walmart Online is selling Roku streaming devices to enhance streaming power and resolution for $34. Another great college essential is an Air Fryer, which happens to be one of Walmart’s Black Friday deals. Printers are in high demand for students and the HP DeskJet is $49 with six months of free ink.

Other beloved brands are waiting till Thanksgiving to begin their sales. SKIMS’s Black Friday sale will most likely start online on November 23rd like last year with sale prices 40% off. This is a great opportunity to buy your favorite tees and shapewear as the brand rarely has large sales. Alo Yoga has started its Black Friday sale early calling it Alo’s Singles’ Day Sale. Everything is 30% off even their trending leggings and sweatshirts. Free People, Lululemon, Aritzia, Garage, and Urban Outfitters have started putting some items on sale, but generally have larger markdowns come Thanksgiving night.

The 1950s tradition still carries on with many brands and businesses eager to release their sales. The name originated from Philadelphia police not being about to control large crowds of shoppers the day after Thanksgiving. Since then, it has been referred to as Black Friday. If you miss the deals on Black Friday, Cyber Monday is equally as important. Cyber Monday is all online deals on Nov. 27. Remember to scoop out the best deals beforehand and shop til you drop.
