Jose Fernandez’s tragic passing devastated the world of Major League Baseball.

Before he was dazzling under the lights of Marlins Park, the Cuban born ace was a dream chasing powerhouse for the Alonso High School Ravens in Tampa.

Multimedia reporter Regina Gonzalez and sports editor John Feltman were able to meet those that had the pleasure of knowing the star in the early days of what would go on to be a brilliant career.
