UT students from the Sykes College of Business participated in the “Light the Night” walk at Fishhawk Ranch in Lithia last Saturday.
The walk is part of an annual nationwide effort to raise money for cures for leukemia and lymphoma.
The students were participating as a part of Dr. Stephanie Thomason’s MGT 335 class on Corporate Social Responsibility.
In addition to raising money for a worthy cause, the students were able to observe corporate sponsors supporting a community event.
According to race organizers, UT had the largest team with over 55 walkers and raised more than $500 for the cause.
