With this bike, I’ll be able to triple my candy intake on Halloween! Bwahaha! — At 3 p.m. on Oct. 29, UT Security was contacted to report a stolen bicycle near the Cass Building parking lot.

E.T. can’t phone home. — At 6:55 p.m. on Oct. 30, UT Security was contacted to report a missing cell phone from the Vaughn Center.

And you thought the horseman was headless … wait until I find out who scratched my ride! — At 11:15 a.m. on Oct. 31, UT Security was contacted to report a vehicle had been hit in the West Parking Garage.

Whazzzaaaaaaaaapppppp — At 5:25 p.m. on Oct. 31, UT Security responded to a possible drug violation in Straz Hall. A room search was conducted and found positive for drugs. Student will be referred to the judicial board.

Oops! Looks like she repeated Jack O’Lantern’s experience. — At 11 p.m. on Oct. 31, UT Security responded to a call of an intoxicated female in Stadium Center. Paramedics were contacted, and after an evaluation of the female, transported her to the hospital.

You’re supposed to light the pumpkin, not yourself! — At 11:23 p.m. on Oct. 31, UT Security was contacted regarding a student in Austin Hall who received a burn on her hand from a curling iron.

Rrrrgh! This song frickin’ ROCKS! It makes me want to PUNCH the WALL! YEAH! — At 12:05 a.m. on Nov. 1, UT Security responded to a call of loud music and noise in Straz Hall. Upon arrival, area in question was quiet. Officer observed a hole on the wall. A photo was taken of the damage.

Another drunk freshman. — At 4 a.m. on November 1, UT Security observed a disturbance in the Smiley Hall courtyard. Disturbance was alcohol related and student was escorted to his room. Student will be referred to the Conduct Board.

The Cold War’s over, dude. — At 11:40 a.m. on Nov. 2, UT Security was given a box of ammo found above a Straz Hall ceiling tile. A search of the room for more ammo did not yield any more. It cannot be determined how long the box was there.

The golf cart fleet takes another hit! — At 8:30 p.m. on Nov. 2, UT Security responded to a call of damage to a golf cart.

Speaking Bluntly — At 1:55 a.m. on Nov. 3, UT Security responded to a call of possible drugs in the Vaughn Center. Upon arrival, security searched the room and found drugs. Tampa police was contacted. Student will be referred to the Conduct Board.

You’re on our turf now. — At 3 a.m. on Nov. 4, UT Security was contacted by an officer for assistance regarding individuals who wanted access to Straz Hall. Upon arrival, individuals were informed of UT visitor policy for non-students. Tampa police arrived and gave a verbal warning.

I told you guys … Ceiling Cat is always watching. — At 2:27 p.m. on Nov. 4, UT Security was dispatched in reference to a weapon in Straz Hall. Upon arrival, security conducted a search of the room and removed a BB gun.

Another prank, ha ha … oh, wait, this is real? No way! — At 8:25 p.m. on Nov. 4, UT Security responded to a fire alarm in Austin Hall. Upon arrival, security found smoke coming from a room. Tampa fire department responded with a fire extinguisher and put out a small fire on a desk that was started by a lit candle.

  1. Candle was unattended no doubt. That is what scares me about all these decorator candle people have in their homes. So often they are left unattended. I don’t really care that they are in a bottle or glass containter.
