The month of October has been a physically active one for Kappa Sigma.
Twice in two weeks, the fraternity has participated in benefit runs in Tampa.
Most recently was the Spartan 5k on Saturday, Oct. 20. Benefiting UT, the brothers of Kappa Sigma came out in nearly full participation, according to Jordan Beard, who was the fraternity’s president at the time.
On the previous Saturday, the fraternity turned out nearly entirely again, according to Beard, to support the 13th Annual Tampa Police Memorial Run.
Beard says that a handful of brothers registered and ran the race themselves, and that the fraternity has been helping with this event for as long as he’s been at UT.
