VOLLEYBALL LANDS RECRUIT

The St. Petersburg Times reported last week that Indian Rocks Christian senior Brianne Yeates committed to attend the University of Tampa after high school.

Yeates was a Times All-County selection as a sophomore.

Yeates picked UT over Eckerd after a visit to campus impressed her.

Margeaux Sinibaldi (pictured above), the SSC career leader in digs, recorded her 2000th career dig on Oct. 24 in a 3-0 defeat of Rollins.

The senior libero has 410 digs on the season, nearly double Katelin Dixon’s second-highest 220 digs.

Sinibaldi is still behind Holly Morgan of Tiffin University, the NCAA career record-holder in digs with 3,107.

Volleyball is still on top of the Division-II world. However, they’re likely to fall after losing 3-2 to Florida Southern.

Women’s soccer ended the week ranked 14th.

Women’s cross country found themselves 15th nationally and first regionally.

The men’s soccer team did not rank in the top 25, but did receive votes for the first time this season.
