Respondez!, the literary journal of The University of Tampa Honors Program, is calling for submissions. All forms of literary nonfiction are accepted including: research papers, supported opinion essays, personal essays, critical analyses, and others. Submissions are generally six to 12 pages and have covered a variety of subjects, from black holes to Victorian pornography, Irish literature to naps in the workplace. Respondez! is released annually at the year-end academic awards ceremony.

Only current Honors Program students may submit work for consideration, but submissions do not have to be recent or from a class. Full submission guidelines and the required release form can be obtained on the Honors Program’s Blackboard site at http://ut.blackboard.com or by e-mailing the editor at honorsjournal@gmail.com.

The final deadline, by which all submissions and hand signed release forms must be received is Wednesday, Nov. 28 at noon. Signed release forms should be sent to campus box 4182, while submissions should be e-mailed to the honorsjournal@gmail.com e-mail address. Consult the Submission Guidelines for more details.

The Editorial Board of Respondez! is also seeking members.

Members will read all Respondez! submissions over the winter break and meet weekly during the spring semester to select, edit and proofread entries for publication. Editing takes place in a relaxed, fun atmosphere with a small group of Honors students. Experience in editing is helpful but not necessary. The Editorial Board interest form may be obtained on Blackboard or via e-mail. Direct all questions to honorsjournal@gmail.com.

The Respondez! board is looking forward to hearing from students, and wishes all entrants happy writing and good luck.
