Delta Tau Delta will become the sixth fraternity to join the UT community in the upcoming weeks.
With over 150,000 initiates and 1,700 alumni in the Tampa Bay area, the Delts will open their 116th chapter within the next two years.
“Delta Tau Delta at Tampa is a great opportunity for men not attracted to the existing fraternities to help develop an organization around both the ideals of the Fraternity and their own,” Director of Expansion Nick Goldsberry said. “Furthermore, Delta Tau Delta has a great history. Over 150,000 alumni are proud of their Delt experience and what it has done for them. Along with their help, the Fraternity is excited to initiate the Delt tradition to the Tampa campus.”
Representatives from ??? will begin recruiting this week and the process will culminate with a formal pledging ceremony on Oct. 19 in the music room in Plant Hall. It is a public event.
“For all students interested, we’ll be in a big purple and gold tent in Vaughn Courtyard,” said expansion team leader Dave Sullivan. “You can’t miss us. Stop by and say hello.”
??? focuses on academics, service and leadership.
The closest chapter is at the University of Central Florida. ??? also has chapters at UF and FSU.
