No Love For Crime Mob’s “Hated on Mostly”

Don’t be disappointed when “Hated On Mostly,” the new Crime Mob CD, isn’t the next All Eyes On Me or The Chronic.

Crime Mob seem to slip further and further into mediocre rap oblivion with this release and struggles the whole way down.

The CD opens with the same beat I swear it ends with. Can we at least have a decent bass line?

This rap plea from Crime Mob sure doesn’t help sway me from my rock and roll roots and puts music like this further away from my interest.

Their first single, “Rock Yo Hips,” is anything, but unique. Sure, it will be played in clubs for a couple months, but then it will be on it’s merry ol’ way down the drain with all the other run of the mill rap songs these days.

The Georgia natives fall short of what southern hip hop standards are set at today.

Although Crime Mob burst into the music scene in 2004 with their popular hit, “Knuck If You Buck,” the group doesn’t seem to meet the expectations set by their previous chart topping song.

The CD sounds like the group threw the album together over night, revealing that there is not much talent hiding behind all 13 tracks.

While Crime Mob might make a dollar or two off a few club jams on “Hated On Mostly,” they really need to forget this effort as a whole and start thinking about how they can redeem themselves after this bomb.

Bottom Line: 2.5/10.0
