Yeah… not the best place to open a beer, dude. — At 8:40 a.m. on March 12, UT Security observed an individual drinking beer in a Vaughn Center study room. The officer escorted the individual to his friend’s room and discovered more alcohol. Student will be referred to the Judicial Board.

Guys, wait … how are we going to get this into our room? — At 9:25 a.m. on March 13, UT Security was dispatched to speak to a Beck Construction supervisor regarding a missing golf cart near Residence Hall VI.

Wow … kind of took them a while to notice. — At 1:50 p.m. on Mar. 14, UT Security was dispatched concerning a book missing from Austin Hall after spring break.

I’m gonna blast you, sucka! — At 11:10 p.m. on March 14, UT Security responded to a call for assistance upon arrival, three students and a friend stated a vehicle drove slowly by them trying to get their attention near Straz Hall. One of the occupants seemed to be holding what appeared to be a gun. Tampa Police Department was contacted to report the incident and speak with the four individuals.

Too bad Conduct Board Can’t Issue DUI’s — At 2:00 a.m. on Mar. 15, UT Security was contacted regarding a speeding vehicle in the West Parking Garage. Officer approached the driver to discuss his behavior. The student was intoxicated and stated the officer was harassing him. Student will be referred to the Judicial Board.

That’s going to suck when your housing gets terminated. — At 11:00 a.m. on March 15, UT Security responded to a call of found drugs in the Hyatt Regency. Items tested positive. Students will be referred to the Judicial Board.

Probably should have thought this one out a litte more. — At 12:15 p.m. on March 15, a student enterted the Security Office highly agitated and jumped over the gate into the secure office area. Officers responded to stop him. Student was handcuffed and Tampa Police was contacted. Tampa Police arrested student for trespassing and battery on a uniformed Security Officer.

Unopened Alcohol? In Brevard?! — At 5:25 p.m. on March 15, Security was dispatched in reference to an unopened bottle of alcohol in Brevard Hall. Upon arrival, bottle was removed and held in the Security Officer. Student was under the age of 21 and informed he could have a person over 21 pick up the bottle to remove from campus.

Keep your friends close… — At 9:45 a.m. on March 16, UT Security escorted non-students to a Straz Hall room, where the officer discovered drugs. Resident of the room will be referred to the Judicial Board.

Escalation — At 9:00 p.m. on March 16, Security responded to a call of a person acting strange in the Vaughn Center lobby. Upon arrival, officers tried to keep him calm. Tampa Police was contacted and the student became agitated resisting the Police. Student was arrested and removed from campus.

Keepin’ it real … real dumb. — At 3:02 a.m. on March 17, UT Security was informed of an unknown person that pulled a fire alarm station on the second floor of Smiley Hall. The areas were checked and cleared for the students to return to their rooms.
