Jones, MikeThe University of Tampa baseball team defeated the Saint Leo University Lions 13-3 on a windy Tuesday night at Sam Bailey field. Although the game was against fellow Sunshine State Conference member Saint Leo it did not count towards conference standings.
UT came out swinging taking an early 2-0 lead after a bases loaded double by Chris Ignaut in the first inning. Ignaut fought off a low and away pitch and grounded it past Lions third baseman Devin Cason, driving in Orlando Rosales and Ryan Kennedy.
