PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Jeremy Black garnered SSC player of the week honors for his 42 points in two games this week. He also grabbed 24 rebounds and a block in the SSC victories.
Black has been a key reason why this team is in the top 25.
TENNIS FAULTS IN SEASON OPENER
Emily Kennedy won two matches, but it wasn’t enough as Tampa fell to Embry-Riddle in the first game of the season.
Tampa plays at home next Wednesday vs. Rollins.
TAMPA IN THE RANKINGS
The men’s basketball team earned its first ranking since 2002 as it placed 17th in the polls.
Tennis is ranked 28th nationally.
Baseball remains on top of the polls after defeating 13th-ranked Georgia College and State in their season opener last weekend in Georgia.
