On Sept. 27, an explosive discovery was made. Ned Fulmer, one of the members of the Try Guys, was confirmed to be cheating on his wife of ten years with an employee.

The situation has since escalated into weeks of trending on social media, and uncertainty about the future of the Try Guys channel.

Fulmer, a name unbeknownst to many until a few weeks ago, is now a well-known name all over Twitter for all the wrong reasons. Fulmer was a member of Try Guys, a YouTube channel of four men who make videos together trying different things.

The Try Guys consisted of Keith Habersberger, Ned Fulmer, Zach Kornfeld and Eugene Lee Yang. They have been a group for eight years since they first started on Buzzfeed, and in 2018 they separated from it, starting their independent company, 2nd Try LLC.

With the start of their company, the Try Guys hired employees, one of whom was Alexandra Herring, an executive producer of the Try Guys and a member of the Food Babies, a spinoff series on the Try Guys YouTube channel.

Herring was a well-known member of the Try Guys channel. Herring was engaged to marry fiancé Will Thayer, and she is the employee with whom Fulmer allegedly cheated on his wife with.

Herring and Fulmer were seen together by fans on Labor Day weekend. Multiple fans alerted the other members of the Try Guys about seeing the two together in public, engaging in romantic behavior. The Try Guys stated that they reached out to the employee and Fulmer on whether or not the rumors were true. Both parties confirmed that they were together and that their relationship had been “going on for some time.”

The confirmation of their relationship caused the other three members and their company to spark a three-week investigation into Fulmer’s actions. The Try Guys confirmed on Sept. 16 that the three members, Kornfeld, Lee, and Yang, signed a consent form approaching the removal of Fulmer as manager and owner of the company.

After fans speculated that something was happening with the company, with the release of the photos and text messages between a fan and who is thought to be Thayer, the Try Guys released a statement on Sept. 27 confirming fans’  suspicions of Fulmer’s removal.

Later, on Oct. 3, the Try Guys also released a Youtube video to address fans’ suspicions. Fulmer has been removed from videos since the Try Guys became aware of the situation and other Try Guys‘ content.

Fulmer has also released a statement regarding the situation, confirming his infidelity and stating that he will focus on his family. The Try Guys have indicated that they will continue to make videos and content with the three members. They have also said that with time, they will release as much information as they can without falling into legal trouble. Multiple members of the Try Guys company have made personal statements and tweets about the situation. As time passes, more information may be released on the scandal and how Try Guys plan on continuing the channel.
