Minaret Places Seventh in National Contest

The Minaret’s website, http://www.theminaretonline.com, received 7th place for Newspaper Website in the Best of Show Awards at the Associated Collegiate Press Journalism Convention in San Diego.

The awards were given to the newspapers that were registered at the convention and submitted their newspaper’s website into the competition.

College Newspapers from around the country as well as Canada participated in the convention.

Theminaretonline.com placed ahead of The Miami Hurricane. The University of Miami’s student newspaper.

Following The Miami Hurricane was Fordham University’s Observer in New York.
