Three ‘n Out: Quick Hits from Spartan Sports

TENNIS IMPROVES

The tennis team came off a 12 day break to challenge undefeated Washburn University losing narrowly 5-4. Tampa drops to 5-10 on the season.

Kourtney Stark and Estefania Greco won their doubles. Stark continued to win her singles match joined in victory by Caitlin Scudder and Ally Wooten. The Spartans regrouped against Augustana (S.D.) College on Thursday in the first game in Spartan history to be played under the lights.

BASEBALL BOUNCES BACK

After two losses and one redeeming win against rival Florida Southern spring break weekend, the baseball team rebounded to have an undefeated break. A 12-3 ride passed Slippery Rock led to a sweep of Shippensburg and Wayne State.

TAMPA IN THE RANKINGS

The baseball team’s 20-4-1 record keeps the seventh ranked Spartans still in contention for the third consecutive national title.

The softball team climbed into the top 20 with a huge win streak.
