Quilt’s Corner

The wind tangles hollow reeds. String arms reach up Embracing a lonely tree branch. Long, slender legs Perform a breezy ballet

Bringing back memories of a toy Xylophone. Mallets tap wooden bars, A composer conducting a mighty orchestra, Coaxing the bewitching simplicity of each impact.

Melody resounding in the vast yard, A speckled fish dancing to the rhythm travels Through the strings tickling its stomach, Smirking as it passes the world by, Gliding effortlessly through the air.

The wind tangles hollow reeds, Creating an array of ballads As if submitting to an invisible maestro. A mocking bird rises early To usher in the dawn.
