Three ‘n Out

WOMEN WIN SSC MEET

The women’s cross country team topped every team in the conference with a total score of 18 (remember, this is like golf: low scores are better).

Florida Southern ended up second with 53.

Laura Woznicki once again paced the Spartans and claimed an individual title by finishing first.

Jessica Forrester finished second overall and Paige Williams came in fourth. Alysha Duffy and Julia Vola finished fifth and sixth, respectively.

MEN FINISH SECOND

Tony Nicolosi finished second overall and David Forry came in third to help the Spartans to a second place finish in the conference meet. Chris Catanach (no, not the volleyball coach of the same name) crossed the finish line eighth.

Tampa posted 42 points, but Florida Southern scored only 26 to take the crown.

Both the men’s and women’s teams next compete in the NCAA South Regional hosted by the University of Alabama-Huntsville on Nov. 3.

TAMPA IN THE RANKINGS

Volleyball is still ranked first (surprise!).

Women’s soccer plummetted to 22nd after the loss to St. Leo.

Women’s cross country entered the week ranked 17th nationally and first in the South Region.
