DIXON REACHES VOLLEYBALL MILESTONE

Katelen Dixon recorded her 1,000th dig to become the fifth member of the 1000 dig/1000 kill club at Tampa.

Dixon is eighth in UT history on the all-time kill list.

PENLAND IS CONFERENCE OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Alison Penland scored the only goal in a victory over 22nd-ranked Belmont-Abbey and assisted in the lone goal against eighth-ranked Tusculum.

SUPER SMART SWIMMERS

The UT swim teams took home the highest honor in the academic land last semester.

The women’s team posted a 3.50 GPA for the spring 2007 semester. No other school posted a higher average.

The men’s team earned a 3.32 average, second only to Adelphi’s men’s team average of 3.39. The Spartans’ 3.41 overall average put them ahead of Ouachita Baptist’s 3.40 for the highest GPA in the country.
