It seems like there should be more important things happening on campus. At 10:25 p.m. on Oct. 2, UT Security responded to an injury of a student’s right ankle at the basketball courts.

Now, children … At 3:45 p.m. on Oct. 4, UT Security was contacted in reference to a disagreement between two students in the Vaughn Center.

Did they drive there in the golf cart? At 11:05 p.m. on Oct. 4, UT Security transported a student from the intramural field to the hospital due to a sprained ankle.

Are they construction or destruction crews?! At 1:15 p.m. on Oct. 5, UT Security responded to a broken gate in the Cass Parking Lot. The gate was broken by a large contactor’s truck.

In a van down by the river! …Well, not really. At 3:00 a.m. on Oct. 6, UT Security received a call about a drug violation in Kennedy Place. A search was conducted. Tampa police were contacted, and an arrest was made.

Man down! At 1:30 a.m. on Oct. 7, UT Security reported an injury to an officer from the vehicle that hit the security golf cart in the Vaughn Center Plaza.

Grand Theft Auto: UT At 1:00 a.m. on Oct. 7, UT Security, while on patrol, observed a vehicle driving on the sidewalk in the Vaughn Center Plaza. Officer tried to stop the vehicle and the driver backed into the security golf cart. Tampa police issued a citation for reckless driving / driving on a sidewalk.

It’s really not that funny. Even if you’re drunk. At 3:45 a.m. on Oct. 8, UT Security responded to a fire alarm in Brevard Hall. The fire panel showed activation of a pull station. Fire Rescue then gave the all clear after their walk-through.

Just kidding! At 2:45 a.m. on Oct. 8, UT Security received a call of a fire alarm in Straz Hall. After investigation, an officer found a pull station alarm activated. Tampa Fire Rescue arrived and later gave the all clear.

Those squirrels can get MEAN! At 1:50 p.m. on Oct. 7, UT Security was informed of an injury to a student’s left toe in Plant Park.

Best joyride ever.At 5:15 a.m. on Oct. 8, UT Security observed a vehicle out of control in the Plant Hall lot that hit and dislodged all the poles out of the ground and damaged the front end of the vehicle. Photos were taken and information exchanged for a report to be issued.
