
For the first time in my life, I find myself in possession of a cellular phone. Yes, I have somehow managed to survive until now without this or many other modern conveniences, such as the iPod, the Dictaphone and the wheel. My enjoyment of this great invention began this week with a novel new activity – fielding unexpected phone calls from my phone company on my cell phone as they try to sell me a new cell phone. When I inquired about this, I was informed that my phone company “had an established business relationship” with me and was therefore legally allowed, under the federal “Do Not Call” List, to contact me
